How does an individual lawyer need to adapt to that landscape? Needs to be more proactive in terms of thinking about what our clients want and are going to want, today and six months from now. Our clients are going through a lot of changes and we have to understand that and try to anticipate ways in which we can be useful to them in their interests and also in ours.
Getting into the client's shoes. Thinking about what the clients may not know and might be interested in. May not know they don't know it. Also try to think outside of the box within your own organization. You can't think I am a lawyer who sits in my little department, my little box and that's all I do. No, you have to look around your firm and think there's this group of people who do this very interesting kind of work. I never worked with them before but my clients would be interested in the kinds of things that these guys know and we'll put them together.
